Americans for Artsakh needs your help!

Since 2006, Americans for Artsakh has been providing critical educational training programs for the citizens of Artsakh.  AFA recently completed its third training session for high-level government officials in Stepanakert, and plans to expand into other spheres, as well.

In October 2009, AFA will begin training top young candidates in crucial leadership skills, bringing in experts in various fields to conduct training programs for select students from the schools in Stepanakert.  Prominent speakers will include legal specialist Thomas Samuelian and political analyst Richard Giragosian.  The training team has already completed successful programs in Armenia and with Armenians in Syria.  In order to make them possible in Artsakh, AFA needs the support of concerned people like you!

AFA's educational programs offer much-needed training opportunities to the brightest and most capable citizens in Artsakh, helping prepare them for their roles as future leaders.  AFA is the first organization to offer these types of projects in the area.  In order for Artsakhians to maximize their potential, these programs need to continue!

Because of its unrecognized political status and economic blockades, Artsakh finds itself in a particularly disadvantaged position with regard to receiving foreign assistance.  Many of the educational opportunities that are available in Armenia and elsewhere throughout the former Soviet Union are unavailable in Artsakh.  For that reason, it is all the more vital that we work together to ensure the future of its citizens.

We realize that these are difficult times for everyone.  Compared to many other development projects, AFA’s programs do not require very large amounts of money.  Therefore, even a small contribution will make a huge difference in the lives of these future leaders of Artsakh.  All donations are tax-deductible.
