While humanitarian assistance remains essential, support for Artsakh's transition from a centrally planned economy to a market-oriented one is also critical. But, due to the unresolved Nagorno Karabakh conflict, many of the international experts on sustained economic development (WB, IMF, UNDP) are excluded from this crucial stage of transition in Artsakh's economy.

Identifying critical development needs, tracking current development efforts, highlighting the most successful endeavors, searching for new opportunities, and facilitating communication among potential investors and local entrepreneurs. By fostering implementation of new income-generating projects, the AFA will achieve its aim of obtaining long-term sustainable economic development for Artsakh.
